Fashionable Blogger Spotlight!!

Recently I was fortunate enough to do a interview with Jentine from My Edit. I came across her blog last week and I thought she had AMAZING style and she seems very funny and sweet! When I asked if I could interview her she was really sweet and agreed to do it even if there was a lot of pressure (on my end)!! So here is the interview and please please go check out her site, I promise you won't be dissapointed!!

Q1: Lets start with the basics..Toilet paper over or under?

A: #1 threw me off, I had to go check, it's over.

Q2: Ok maybe i will dial the crazy back a little, what do you do for a living? If you don't already have your dream job, what would your dream job be?

A: I landscape for a living. In general I really love it, it may not be my dream job but I do go to work each day happy. My dream job?... I'd like to know what it is too...

Q3: I detest croc shoes with a passion, so what is one of your biggest fashion annoyances?

A: I hate white tights and big, bedazzled Guess purses. Mostly I hate it when people don't care. You don't have to be a crazy fashion addict like me but just put a little effort in. If money is the issue, there are really good thrift stores around... I'm willing to help you out for the sake of looking presentable (how generous, I know...).

Q4: What are your most desired, but can't quite afford, pair of shoes that you want?

A: I don't really have a pair in mind right now but an easy choice would be Frye motorcycle boots or brown boots. I don't think I'll ever have enough brown boots.

Q5: I know that you live in Canada, but given a good opportunity would you move to the US?

A: I would like to stay in Canada for now because I love being close to the fam damily. Travel could be fun though...

Q6: Spring is right around the corner, so what are your favorite spring things to do?

A: My favourite spring things to do are to have a drink on a patio, to make a yard look real good with a Jentine Spring Clean-up (patent pending) and to expose my knees. The only downside of spring is actually having to make a bit of effort and shave my legs occasionally. Boo....

Q7: Any voices in your head we should know about? What do they say?
A: I do have voices in my head that scold me when I buy any dresses. They usually shut up pretty quickly. If they don't, I do something extra, like clean the bathroom... Such displays of helpfulness even out my lack of self control when shopping.

Q8: What is your must have beauty product? Favorite Color nail polish?

A: I am addicted to Co Bigelow lip gloss from Bath and Body Works. In general I have been addicted to chapstick etc. for about 15 years. I tell myself that any fat is actually a lip gloss accumulation because I have eaten so much of it accidentally over the years. 1 hour on the rowing machine equals 2 tubes of lip gloss.

Q9: What kind of style did you have as a teenager? Do you regret any of your teenage fashion choices?

A: I didn't really have a lot of style as a teenager. But I thought I did... I wore black pants, a white button-up and a tie from my little brother to a highschool dance once and I thought I was bad.ass. Too bad people called me Avril Lavigne all night, not what I was going for...

Q10: Will you be my blog friend?

A: Of course. I'm running for Blog Prom Queen this spring and I need all the support I can get...

Q11: Now that you've experienced some of my zany questions, you have any for me?

A: #1. What made you start a blog?
#2. Could you go 79 days without shopping?
#3. The toilet paper question.

And here are my answers...

1. Well i've always wanted to start a website, almost like a forum, to share my ideas and thoughts and what not. I tend to find really good deals, have ingenious ideas about things, or just get really crafty. So i wanted to share that with the world. Some websites cost, especially since i'm not really really computer savy so the blog became my next best thing. I started documenting my outfits last summer on flickr and when I decided to do the blog it sort of became a fashion diary of sorts. I think i'm gonna start adding more of my features to it, like originally planned. At first I thought it was a little narcissistic (wrong spelling i'm sure), but hey..I am what I am!!

2. I told my hubs about this interview and this question and his first words were, "Nope, you couldn't not shop for 79 days, maybe 7!" I guess he may have a point. I could go without grocery shopping for 14 days, since thats how often I do it now. I also, would like to think i could go 79 days without clothes, accessories, or shoe shopping!! But who am i kidding...clearance and sales always tempt me. If thats wrong, well i'll never be right!!

3. Always over, it just makes more sense. At work the bathrooms seem like they are under and it always drive me nuts, I get like 4 little pieces at a time!! I can't take it, i may not have a big butt, but i do like it clean!!

Thanks so much Jentine for being such a great sport!! You rock and I hope one day we can do some much needed retail therapy together!!

Fashionably Yours!
