Happy Thanksgiving

So it's Thanksgiving and before all the craziness starts I wanted to get up and share a few thoughts with everyone. First of let me start by saying that last night I was preparing some food for the Thanksgiving feast and I was quite glad that not only do I have the ability to make it but I actually have the food. A lot of people in the world go hungry every day while we just eat and never think twice about who may not be eating. So today I'm thankful that I have food always and I've never gone hungry. Well back to our Thanksgiving dinner. My contribution to this dinner is cornbread and green bean casserole (of which this is my 1st time making it). I was so proud of myself that I had to take pictures to show everyone.

Also, in honor of Thanksgiving I would like to list a few things that I'm thankful for
1. I am thankful for my husband who is my very best friend! We may not always agree or see eye to eye but I'm glad that I have him in my life. He always makes me laugh and I enjoy every silly moment we have together. James you are a great husband and I know someday you will make a great father! I love you with all my heart and I thank god every day that you chose me to spend your life with.
2. I am thankful for my family. The only people who have seen me through and in all stages of my life. The family that has seen the good, bad, the ugly, and the ugliest. I'm not very proud of the things I may have said or done to you but I'm glad that no matter what has happened you have always stood by and supported me! We may not all be perfect but true love never is perfect. You guys have always been my rock and my joy. May we always continue to be close no matter where life may take us. I love you guys so much! A special side note to my brother, you may not be here physically to celebrate Thanksgiving with us this year but you will be in our hearts always! I love you and I miss you but I know you are doing what's best for your life. I'm so very proud of you always and no matter what I will always be the big sister you can turn to!
3. Finally, I'm so thankful for all of my friends. Sometimes we get mad at each, sometimes we cry together, and sometimes we get wild together, but no matter what I know you will always be there when I need you. Whether we talk everyday or once a year doesn't matter because I know that there is unconditional love that brings us together. I have always considered you a part of my family and I'm glad to call you friend. Many in the world have let us down but we have been stronger and better for it. So thank you for being there for me when others have let me down. Thank you for being the strong, honest friend that I have needed. I love you all so much that words can not describe what I feel. So here's to us and all the moments we will share together in life. Love you guys!

There is so much more I could say about what I'm thankful for but I just wanted to say those few things. So, HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! May your holiday weekend be filled with lots of love and joy!

So today was the last day at work before the Thanksgiving weekend. Luckily it was casual day but unlucky because I have to work on Friday even though quite a few other people don't have too...sux! Today's weather wasn't very sunny either, in fact it was quite dreary and rainy. Comfort was key for me today. So here's what I wore:

Cardigan: Target
Brown Tank Top: Given to me by a friend
White Tee: Charlotte Russe
Jeans: Bitten by SJP
Boots: Dear by Amanda Bynes

Have a wonderful evening folks!

Who inspires you?

So today I took a great picture of my outfit that I wore and I really liked the outift but guess what?! I accidently deleted it! When I realized this I was already in my pajamas and really was too tired to get back into my outfit to take the picture. So instead, and in honor of Rihanna putting out a new album I have decided to post some of her looks. These 5 pictures are outfits that inspire me all for different reasons and make me extremely jealous of her outifts. Also, if I could raid her shoe closet I would most definetly take up that offer and take ALL of her shoes! So here are some looks that I completely adore and might even try to copy!

Momma said don't play with your food

So today while I was sitting at work wishing I were somewhere else, I received this text from my dad with pictures on it. He was at lunch playing with his food again. This isn't the first time he's done this but when he does he likes to take a picture and send it to us. I don't know if my grandma ever taught my dad not to play with his food but its still funny when he does it even though he is a VERY grown man! So I thought I would share with you and hopefully you will get a chuckle out of it too.

For the first picture his message read: "Poor Gnochi, so lonely!".
Then for the last picture message it read "Gnochi go bye bye!".
My dad is such a jokster!!! I do love him though!

What I Wore Today

So when I was putting this outfit together last night (yes, i am one of those people who plans her outfit out the day before) I was wanting to wear this dress but had a completely different shirt picked out for it. At the last minute I threw this cardigan on over it and decided on the white leggings and the white ankle boots. I wasn't sure how I felt about the outfit, but after looking at the picture of it I decided that there is something missing but I'm not sure what it is. Plus I don't know if I'm crazy about this color combination. Let me know what you think.

Dress: Got for free from my local freecycle group

Cardigan: Old Navy

Leggings: Target

Ankle Boots: Dots

Necklace: My best friend necklace that I wear everyday

Sunday Funday!

Good Morning All! I woke up this beautiful Sunday morning thinking about the beautiful weather and holiday season that is upon us. When I woke up and looked out the window this morning I briefly thought it was snowing already, but then I realized it was just really foggy! I'm excited for the first snow fall. I remember my mom telling me that she loved snow because it made everything look fresh and new again. I do love the snow but when you have 5 months of it then it does get old real quick. Nevertheless I'm still very excited about what the 2009 Holiday Season will bring for us. So today I thought I would share with you some beautiful pictures that I enjoy and remind me of Thanksgiving and Christmas. So enjoy my inspiration and have a wonderful end of the weekend!

PS. Thanks to Darling Dexter and Apartment Therapy for the beautiful pictures of inspirations. I am extremely grateful for your ability to inspire me. My appreciation is very heartfelt. Thanks so much.

Welcome All..

Welcome to my new blog everyone! I created this blog as another source of inspiration to the many out there that have been inspiration for me. I might say that I'm nothing special but my mother and my husband would tell you otherwise. I work at an investment company in Michigan and live with my husband in our 1000 sq foot apartment. I go to work everyday and have all the life stresses that many do, the only thing that is different for me is that I have plenty of ideas and concepts running through my head. So since I've toyed with creating a blog for quite some time I figured that now was as good as a time as any to get started. I will be posting my inspiration from many sources and I hope that you will be able to find some inspiration as well. Inspiration that will help you to be Bright, Bold, and Unexpected
