Picture Overload!

So I have 2 days of weardrobe pictures to post. So here is the first part. These are from September 29th. If you can't handle all the pictures in one sitting just take a break or come back later. I won't mind.

I steal ideas..

Yes you read right, I do steal ideas. My husband commented Monday night that I don't really wear my glasses for my pictures (they're fake). So I stole his idea and decided to wear them to take my outfit picture on Tuesday. I think they go really well this outfit and of course they make me look like a bookworm (which of course I am)! There is no shame in my game though.

Mixologist Style: Part 4

My next lady for the Mixologist Style shall be named "W". Not only to protect identity, but because I think it sounds wonderful. Anyways, I met this wonderful lady on Flickr when i'm sure that one day I came across her weardrobe pictures. Ever since that fateful day I've been excited to see how she puts together her outfits everyday. She has a complete knack for layering and giving herself some height (because lets face it..we all wanna be tall and skinny, even if we aren't). She also has an amazing shoe collection that I would borrow from frequently if she didn't live an ocean away. Needless to say, her layers and her ability to remix wonderful pieces and accessories always keep me guessing and very excited to continually re-think and re-work pieces in my own weardrobe. Thanks "W" for always inspiring me!

What a day!

Ok so I swore i wasn't going to show you guys these pictures because they are horrible! Furthermore I wasn't as happy with this outfit as I thought I was gonna be. Alas, I took an oath to always be honest and true to you fellow bloggers. So here I am in my ugly Monday outfit! Besides, if I can't be honest with you, then who can I be honest with?

P.S.
I know I look like one of the naked cherub baby fountains in the picture below. Go ahead and laugh, I know I did when I realized it!

Faster than a jet plane!

Wow this weekend flew by faster than a jet plane! I can't believe it. I feel like i was just at work on Friday. I hate when that happens.

Thanks to the fall like weather this weekend I was actually able to layer without getting too warm! I'm quite happy about that. This outfit turned out to be one of my favorites in a long time. I wore this Sunday to a jewelry party and to do some errands. Thank you Fall!!

Happy Monday!

Speechless

I can tell that my weekend brain has already started to kick in. I have nothing interesting or fun to say. Lame I know but i'm not about to fight it.

This is the outfit I wore yesterday and as you can tell its pretty simple. I was having a very un-inspired morning. Again though, maybe there should be something said for simplicity! Happy Weekend!

Indian Summer

So it's officially Fall but for some reason Summer wants to stay around. Lately its been in the 80's around here and I don't like it! I am so ready for fall its not even funny! Dear summer please leave so we can invite fall over for a visit.

Here are my husband's comments about today's pictures: 1. "You wanna take your picture here?! It's dirty!" 2. "Now you just be nosy!" (about the second picture). He cracks me up! This outfit today made me feel like a mix of this girl AND this girl!

Picnik Day

As you can see I've changed my blog a little bit. I wanted to get a header and was finally able to learn how. In the process of creating the header I came across the photo editing site Picnik. After playing around with it a little bit I was physched at all the little things I can do to my pictures. You'll see more of the edits that it can do in future blog posts. This edit is called 1960's. I love the way it makes my ordinary pictures look special.

For yesterday's outfit I thought I would do what I do best, stripes on stripes! It was supposed to be hot so I wasn't able to pull out the fall weardrobe fully today. So I figured this maxi dress would keep me warm enough in the cold office air.

Mixologist Style: Part 3

The next lady who I have decided to feature for my mixologist style is Beth from B. Jones Style. I'm only a little embarrased to say after stumbling across her blog and seeing her amazing style that I have a little girl crush. Nothing creepy, just weird enough that I would look her up if I ever went back to California so I could have her dress me up like a paper doll. As you may or may not know I went to California for my honeymoon and since then part of me always appeals to the "California girl style." Beth actually grew up in the south which you can see influenced by some of her outfit choices but there is also a lot of the "California girl" in her weardrobe. Its a good mix and one that has got me mesmerized. Whether ladylike, edgy, or just kickin it back, Beth sure knows the value of dressing well. So that is why she is one of my favorite mixologists!!

**P.S. Even though I love all of her outfits, I couldn't very well fit them all in this post so I've just posted a few of the ones that have caught my eye. If you want to see more of her visit her blog or check her out at Weardrobe. Happy Oggling!

Neighborhood Love!

Eventually this shirt became untied at work. I just couldn't handle it anymore. I loved all these colors together though. Something made them stand out to me. Meanwhile I thought I would show you around my neighborhood. This is the gazebo that the kids have beat up and the pool. I don't ever swim in the pool, well because I can't swim! Sad, I know!

Forests Nimphs

Ok so i'm gonna try to start taking more of my outfit photos outside. At least until it gets too cold for me stand out there for any length of time. I have to give my props to my husband today for taking such wonderful pictures.

Alright, short post today. Gonna play the wii with my husband then we are watching House and Gossip Girl. Have a great night!

Quick change

So on Saturday I had to go into work for a couple of hours. Instead of just throwing on sweats and a t-shirt I decided to dress up a little more. I didn't wear the outfit for long because once I got home I was right back in my pjs for the rest of the day. Even though it was only for a little bit it made me feel a little more put together. Sometimes you just gotta try and make a little bit of an effort. I'm proud of my effort!

Food, Fashion, & Friday!

So yesterday after work I went to my parents house to celebrate my dad's birthday. My dad and I got to make some homemade donuts that I remember him making when i was a kid. I also left with some apples courtesy of my mom & sister's visit to the apple orchard. The Krunchers chips I actually stole becuase they are some of my favorite chips! Yum Yum. It was definitely a great night filled with many empty calories but lots of memories and tasty treats.
