As the world turns..

Although the Christmas excitement is over there is still plenty of excitement to be had here. With weeks full of work to be done in one week ,errands, and post Christmas shopping to do I am staying very very busy. I wish I could say I will be here all week but I don't wanna make promises that I might not keep.

So how was your Christmas? Did you have fun with your family and get all the gifts you were hoping for? I know I sure did. This year my husband completely spoiled me. I have plenty of gift cards to spend and some nice presents that I can't wait to use. Lucky Lucky me..

'Twas the Night

Twas the night before the night before Christmas and everyone was stirring, even the mouse. Running to pick up last minute gifts in hopes of a grand smile. Grocery store shopping while fighting the crowds. All the meanwhile Santa just watches in hopes that all of us play nice. While budgets drop and credit card balances soar, let's not forget the reason we're here. Tis not about the gifts, or how much you spend but how you treat others in a season of care. As God gave his son for us, his hopes are for us to give ourselves as well. So help me remember the reason for this season and let us take time to enjoy this Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. May your holiday weekend be filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of sugar! Have a blessed season, and see you next week!

P.S.
Yesterday we did an "Ugly" Sweater thing at work, so this is my ugly look. I sure hope you didn't think I dressed like this for real..you did? Oh no..

Untitled!

Christmas has sucked all my creative juices away...as if you couldn't tell by my "Untitled" post. I'm thinking that once the New Year starts i'm gonna be able to get back into a routine again. This sparatic posting is making me confused and lost. I can never seem to remember when I've taken my outfit posts. Luckily after scratching the inards of my brain I now know when I took these pictures. The one at the top and just below is from December 16th and the one at the very bottom is from December 20th. See what happens when you put your mind to something..

The countdown begins..

As Christmas is a little over a week away, what I'm wondering is if i'm the only one who really hasn't gotten much of my Christmas shopping done. I would love to start my shopping early but most of the time i'm waiting on paychecks or for my family & friends to throw out hints about what they want. So every year without fail I'm the last minute shopper. So far I haven't waited until Christmas Eve but there could be a first for everything. This year i'm excited for Christmas though because I got some really great presents for the ones that I love and I can't wait to see their faces when they open their presents. I don't really even want much for myself. Don't get me wrong though... I won't turn down a present though! So how is your Christmas shopping going? Anything special you are hoping Santa brings you this year?

Can you keep a secret?

So I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret..are you ready? I'm TERRIFIED of driving in the snow. It's crazy right?! Especially since i live in Michigan were snow is as common as breathing. I can't help it though, it freaks me out! I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I've encountered most of my accidents in the winter time. I am the lady you pass in the winter because she's going slow...sorry. If going slow is gonna get me to my destination safe then that's what I'm gonna do and you are just gonna deal with it. Luckily right now my husband and I share a car so most of the time I don't have to drive in this mess. But what am i gonna do when we get another car?! It scares me to even think about it! So there you have it...I'm a wuss...that's just how it is! Love me or leave me i say.

*Can you believe all the H&M i'm wearing?! Even my thrifted dress is H&M. It wasn't planned I promise!*

Another Monday..oh joy! NOT!

So I feel a need to explain myself. I take my pictures in the morning, most of the time before I go to work. I'm not usually thrilled to go to work and its still early so I try not to smile at the camera. One because i'm not in the mood really and two I try not to be fake. I don't do fake. I keep it real ALL the time. Its a flaw and a strong suit all at the same time. The other thing is that I have big cheeks. Chipmunk or gummball cheeks as some of my loved ones like to call them. When I smile...really smile my cheeks get bigger! I'm just not confident about em yet. One day acceptance will come. One day. With all that being said I know that sometimes I look evil and mean..or a b***h. I promise i'm not though, so i'm gonna try harder to smile. It won't be all the time but i will try...scouts honor!! Now that I got that off my chest I already feel better.

Lots to catch up on..

Hey everyone! How you been? I decided that last week since I had a lot of things to do and I needed to get some rest that I wasn't gonna blog. I did take pictures though because I knew the day would come when I would miss you all. So lets sit down in a cozy cafe and have some hot cocoa then you can tell me what I missed.

Today we are getting pounded with snow! It's beautiful out and everything looks more romantic with the white snow covering it. The only unfortunate part is having to drive in the mess when the roads haven't been salted or plowed yet. I did that today and it was NOT fun! Believe me. Don't leave the house unless its an emergency. You will regret it! Stay inside, eat cookies, and watch movies. This is the beginning of hibernation all..

Here are some of my outfit posts from last week, not all but most! Enjoy!

Not around. Leave a message.

Lately I feel like i've been in a weird fog. Almost like i'm busy but i'm not. I just don't feel like i have a good routine lately. I blame it on the holiday season whirlwind. So if my blogging seems sparatic or my words don't seem to make sense...thats why.

Regardless, November was my 1 year anniversary of this blog! Of couse because of the fog I did no fun anniversary post. So tonight i will write up a special post about my favorite outfits over the last year. So look for that coming soon..

Is it really time?

I'll tell you what, I was NOT ready to go back to work today after a long weekend! Since Mondays are hard but Mondays after a holiday weekend are even harder I decided it was a leggings and an oversized sweater day. There's not much thinking in that and I can definitely appreciate that on a Monday.

How was your holiday weekend?

An interesting start..

Oh boy did my short week start out interesting. Some crazy individuals at work sure do make my day sometimes. Well at least I laughed instead of cried!

Not much to say here about this outfit. Except I haven't worn this dress in a long time and felt it was time to bust it out again. I only layered a little bit considering we had an unusually warm 60 degree day yesterday. This Michigan weather just cracks me up sometimes...

Sunday Savings Part II

This is my groceries for this week. First off I went to 2 grocery stores to get all these items. Had I not shopped with coupons I would have spent a total of $92.17, $42.12 at one store and $50.05 at the other. Since I shopped with coupons and I shopped the weekly circulars and sale items I got all of this for a grand total of $49.75. It may seem like a lot to clip coupons and shop the sale ads but I promise you that it pays for itself! For example, the Skippy Peanut butter on the second step was on sale for 3 for $5 and I did only buy 2 so the cost was $3.34 i had 3 coupons. One coupon for $1 off 2 and 2 $.50 coupons that the store doubled. So for 2 containers of peanut butter I paid $.34. Not too bad if I say so myself!

So now that you've been clipping coupons its time to start getting familiar with your local grocery store adds. Here is one thing you should find out, does your store double coupons and if so how much do they double to? One store i went to only doubles up to $.50 and the other doubles up to $1.00. So there are certain things that I will buy at one store that I won't buy at the other because of their coupon policy. Second thing you will need to know is what dates does your grocery store sales run. This will help you shop smarter. My policy is I don't buy it if it's not on sale or I don't have a coupon. A lot of times I won't buy it unless the item is on sale and I have a coupon. Combining coupons with items that are on sale help you get more items for your buck. So start paying attention to your ads and your coupons and see what kind of money you can save.

As always if you have questions you can always ask me and I will help you all I can. Anything I can do to help you save your hard-earned money I will do.

Let the madness begin..

So a week from Friday begins the Black Friday shopping madness. In fact some people (a couple in Florida) are so ready for it that they are already waiting in line at their favorite stores. That's actually what you call madness to me! A big screen tv or a cheap laptop hardly seem worth it in order to waste a week of my time waiting for a chance to get some good deals. I don't know if you're planning on going shopping on black Friday but I know I plan on sitting at home!

Regardless of the shopping madness i'm glad that this upcoming week is Thanksgiving and I'll have a short work week . I'm also glad too that I'll finally get a chance to rest and spend more time with family. So what are your Thanksgiving weekend plans?

Yahooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm so glad it's Friday! I've been waiting for this day all week! I am so ready for my weekend. Luckily I only have a 3 1/4 days of work week next week! Boy am I happy about that!

So I must tell you a story about this shirt. Are you ready? I love it, it's comfortable, it's slimming, and I plan on wearing it A LOT! So I sure hope you don't get sick of this design or this outfit because quite frankly this outfit is right next to pajamas in my book. Leggings, boots, and comfortable sweater rank high in my list of dream outfits! You may call it boring but I call it luxury!!

Ketchup Stripes and Mustard Bottom..

This outfit was interesting for me! I haven't worn this skirt in a little while so I wanted to wear it up with some interesting textures and items that bring down the fanciness of the skirt. It turned out pretty well I thought. Of course to me its all about the hiking boots and the thick tights. In fact, I love these shoes sooo much that I think i'm gonna buy them in brown. So don't be surprise if you see another pair on me often! When you find a fashionable & comfortable pair of shoes you buy them...in multiples!!

Thank god its almost the weekend! I'm so ready!
