Whatdya know?

So before I post my next blog post here are some things that you should know:

Sometimes I dress for comfort and warmth. Sometimes I'm just NOT that girly. Sometimes jeans and a t-shirt are all my day requires. I don't pretend to be something I'm not. I aspire to be better but never different from myself. I call it like I see it. I'm blunt, stubborn, opinionated, secretly judgemental, and sometimes rude.

While most of these don't seem like desirable traits I'm just calling it like I see it because quite frankly these are who I am. BUT I am also funny, silly, kind, utterly generous, friendly, outgoing, and down to earth. I don't like to play games, I'm rarely if ever jealous, and I'm not catty (why do girls gotta hate on each other? Different topic, another day). I appreciate all ethnicity's and genders and have love for mankind.

So I will explain all this in my next post but for now I thought there were some things you should know. Stay tuned...

Never thought the day would come

Just to explain so you aren't confused, even though you are reading this Tuesday morning I am writing it on Monday Night. Quite frankly I can't believe this myself. I am sitting here watching wrestling on TV! By myself. No one here but me! My husband who loves wrestling is actually at the wrestling show that is playing on TV. So technically I'm not watching the wrestling as much as I'm trying to see my husband in the crowd. So maybe it's not too weird, or is it?

1 + 1 = A great match

I'm lucky enough that Friday at my office is casual Friday. Now not so casual that you show up in ripped clothes and flip flops (although some do, at least the flip flop part). Its just nice though because you know you can start off your weekend comfortably. So i wore this. The funny thing is, is that while i was uploading these pictures I realized I seem to wear this combination a lot. This sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and these boots. To me I guess it seems like a foolproof outfit. So if its not broke then why fix it?

Btw, don't you love how rock n' roll I look in the top picture? That's the same face I'm gonna rock for my first album cover. Stay tuned..

Inspirational Words

It's Saturday and I my weekend brain has already kicked in. So instead of blabbing on about some useless crap here is some inspirational words for you to ponder:

Does winter have a color?

So unlike maybe most of you I had Monday off. Considering it's a "government" holiday and the stock market is closed I got to enjoy another day off! And boy oh boy did I spend the time well too! My morning started off with a trip to J. Crew to spend my gift card that I got for Christmas. I got some great stuff and all for only $10 out of my own pocket. Like this sweater..isn't it beautiful? The best part about it is that its lightweight too so I can wear it all year around if i wants too! I just love me some J. Crew but unfortunately my wallet never does. C'est la vie! I hope you all had a great weekend, extended or not.

Do any of you have necklace that make too much noise when you wear them? How do you deal? I wore this necklace today and all day people kept making comments about how they could hear me coming or going..hardy har har. But really? Help me out..

Oh and if my title doesn't make sense here is why: Typically spring colors are pastels and fall colors are darker rich tones, so what are the colors for summer and winter? This outfit screemed fall even though we are dead in the middle of winter!

Hey baby..it's still cold outside!

It's only the middle of January and as you can tell by my outfit I'm already feeling the snow piling blues. I'm thinking about trademarking this phrase. It basically encompasses the feeling of starting to lose creativity when getting dressed in lieu of warmth and comfort for the cold wintery day ahead. I can't really say its all bad because it does make me appreciate spring. When it comes. If it ever comes...

Slower than a turtle..

You know how the work week before a vacation seems to be never ending? Well that's how I feel this week. I'm so ready for this 3 day weekend to arrive. I have big plans to shop shop shop and spend as little money as possible. Oh and get some rest too of course! I just wish the work week wasn't so slow this week..

Meanwhile, I have a little over a month till my wedding anniversary and I have no idea what to get my husband for our anniversary. Does anyone have any good ideas? Speak now..

Winter wins again!

Brace yourselves folks, the snow is coming once again. If you've enjoyed driving on dry roads and not having to shovel yourself out of your front door well you won't be feeling too happy tomorrow. According to the weatherman (Cause we know how reliable they are..) there is gonna be a decent amount of snowfall for everyone. Except maybe California. Lucky West Coasters! If you are like me though you aren't too worried (don't get me wrong, I'm freaking out about driving in the mess) because a few inches of snow is nothing new for us northerners. Now for those in the south who don't have that many snow plows (can you believe Atlanta only has 4 snow plows..just silly) just pray the sun comes out soon enough to melt all the snow. Happy 1-11-11!

Weekend Rewind

Oh what I wouldn't give to have my weekend again. It was a mix of errand running and relaxtion. We did get some stuff done at the house which needed to be done and even got some rest in. But alas it's Monday again and back to work we go. So for 5 days i have to commit to try and work between the hours of 8 and 5 and hope that each day go fast enough that my 3 day weekend can appear. How was your weekends?

Oh and check out my new shoes. I took the shoelaces out of them to make them nice slip ons. Just exactly what this girl wanted!

Huh? Again?!?

Ok guys here goes another post where i'm speechless again. I don't know how this has happened but it has. I have nothing interesting to write about or no funny stories to speak of for this week. Just the same crap, different day. Can you imagine, me speechless? And i've always been a talker, Hmmm... Ok so maybe i'm not entirely speechless. Although I do consider this speechless because now i'm just blubbering on about nothing-ness (yes i made up a word!). Oh gosh, now I can't stop. Someone help me please!

Back to life, back to reality...

So after a long weekend of being in my "comfortable" clothes (aka. running around town tennis shoes & jeans) I thought it would so hard to get dressed in normal clothes this morning. Although I don't know if this skirt can be clarified as "normal". Anyway, I was thoroughly impressed with myself for getting dressed like a pro this morning.

I hope all of you had a great New Year! I watched my brother-in-law propose to his fiancee and then New Year's day the hubs and I went and got a new bed and dresser for our room. After a busy weekend i'm so happy to have my house settled again. Oh and the grown up bedroom and fully furnished guest bedroom are just a GIANT plus! I must get pictures up for you to see soon.
