My chick bad! My chick hood!

So I was talking with my husband today about..body image (ironically). It all started because we were both too tired to go to the gym. We try to go every other day or at least 3 times a week. Since this week has been so hectic for me at work I just wasn't feeling up to it and neither was he. Well I kind of feel bad that I didn't go work out. I'm always wishing for things on my body to change or having my own self-image issues. As women I feel like we are always trying to measure ourselves up to a certain model or image that may not be right for us. What I wanna know though is when do we start loving ourselves for who and what we are at the poing in life. I'm very lucky to have a man who loves me regardless and tells me how beautiful I am everyday but when do I start telling myself that everyday? Do you ever feel this way? What are your own body image issues?

A lady that works in the building where my office is said that my outfit was very bright today. I couldn't agree more! I loved everything about it. It seemed very spring-like and very hip all at the same time. The socks with the shoes actually helped my shoes not hurt my feet so bad. I might just be wearing these shoes more often with different colors socks. Now onto some tv watching, couch potato vegetative state..addios!

When does a job stop being a job?

The answer is when it is a career. While visiting Beck's blog today I noticed that her post had some comments about how she felt about her job. Ironically I feel the same way most days. So while talking to her today I realized I wasn't the only who felt the way I did about my job. Some days I just can't stand my job. No matter how busy I am at work there are days when i'm just bored out of my mind. I was telling Becks too that I've already had days where i've woken up wondering if this is all there is to my life. So what im wondering is do you all feel this way? Or do you have careers instead of jobs that you love?

I really loved this outfit today. It started around this short skirt that I haven't worn in a while and I was excited when I got this outfit together how it looked. By the end of the day I still loved this outfit. That is the true test of a great outfit.

Snobbish

This pose is actually kind of funny to me. It looks like i'm being a stuck up snob but I was just trying a new pose. I kind of like the way it turned out.

So since getting my new camera and the hectic schedule that we have i've been having to blog at night and its definetly throwing me off. I'm not used to it and I kind of don't like it but if i'm gonna blog at all its this or not at all. I hope you all don't mind. Maybe one day i will be able to switch it back.

So today I wanted to wear leggings and have a super comfortable outfit. The only problem with that is that this shirt kind of itches and it just bugs the mess out of me. I don't know why I still have it. I should just give it away already..

Just call me Hulk!

So since i've been working out my muscles have been getting larger. Thats all fine and good but there are certain shirts that just don't cut it anymore. One wrong move and I bust out of them like the Hulk. I'm not full of myself and by no means do I think my muscles are all that big, and I'll even be fair and say the shirts were a little tight to start with..but I feel like the Hulk! Its amazing to me in a short amount of time i've already built some pretty great muscle.

I decided to show some leg today since it was gonna be in the high 70's. Since i haven't worn this dress in a little bit I decided to bring it out. The sweater vest was just a fun add-on to the outfit. Since the skirt is a little short i had to wear flats. I thought heels would have been a little too much. Its funny that the look turned out to be a little school-girl-ish.

Holy Camera Batman!!

So here are the new outfit pictures taken with my new camera. Oh and all of you who use self-timers...congratulations on not wanting to beat your camera up. Mine doesn't have a remote so I have to adjust it so when it finds a face I only have 2 seconds to pose. Its sounds easy but its not especially when you don't really have it set at the right height. Its annoying but I'm gonna make my husband play around with it with me today to get the hang of it. So when he's not able to take my picture I can just take my own. I'll get used to it soon but for now i'm just excited to have this great camera that has awesome picture quality.

This is what I wore yesterday to go shopping with my mom and my sister. I ended up getting new sandals courtesy of my mom that I put on pretty quick. Mainly because I about fell out on the floor at Old Navy. Dang slick floors...about broke my neck and ankle. Ahhh well. Thanks mom for the great shoes though!! Love them and YOU! It was kind of hot yetsterday because of the horrible humidity so I changed my clothes a couple of times before walking out in this. I'm just glad that it wasn't raining the whole day like the weathermen said.

You can't tame me!

Another lovely Friday that we made it too and I'm ready for the weekend. My only plans are to clean house, switch my weardrobe around, finish my project and play with my new camera. It may not sound exciting but thats ok with me. Besides, its supposed to rain all weekend anyways...boo!! So indoor activities it is.

So the AC/DC challenge that i'm doing today is dress like your favorite star. Its basically the same thing that I did last Friday. I'm running out of creativity folks. I need some new inspiration because quite frankly my closet is just boring me to tears!!

Do it yourself!

So this morning I wanted to try something new and take my weardrobe picture outside. Unfortunately I don't know how to pose well or know how to find my light so I wasn't very happy with the way the pictures turned out. Thats why there is only 1. So when we got home I made my husband take some new ones.

Oh and guess what?! Today my husband bought me a digital camera, the memory card, a case for the camera, AND a tripod!! The camera has 14 megapixels and is also a video camera!! I love love love it! I can't wait to post some great pictures with it and even maybe do some video shots!! I will let you know when its up and operational. Of course, you will probably notice it in the picture clarity anyway.

Time to go eat dinner...
